At London Audio Visual we have been working with Video Walls for a long time now, more recently we have been utilising the innovative LED walls available. Our team have been debating which technology offers the very best solution for our clients and here is what we have decided…

LED Wall Hire vs Video Wall Hire

Whilst Video Walls have started the revolution of showcasing large impactful screens, they are in fact screens which join, so no matter how slim the bevel may be, there will always be a line present once the screens are connected, meaning the content will be less impactful. Technically they require more labour and take longer to set up, therefore costs can increase for this purpose.

Where as, LED Walls are a lot more flexible as they are easy to handle and quicker to set up. Making them perfect for events where the venue is restricted on time our crew have to prep for the event. All the labour intensive stuff aside…technology wise our team feel that they are by far the much better product for events. This is because the LED tiles omit a much brighter and sharper image, creating a visual impact which is exceptionally engaging. Ok, so I hear you asking, but the LED Wall can only go to a certain size before it starts to lose the integrity of image quality, right?…Wrong! The Narrow Pixel Pitch offers a high contrast ratio of 5000:1 compared to the Video Wall screens ratio of 1200:1, meaning that the latest technology we utilise produces a higher resolution, therefore a more striking image on a larger scale, giving the Video Wall a run for its money. Our bet is that the development of LED technology will continue to prosper and in the not so far future will become only more amazing!

Working more frequently with LED Walls our team have also found them to be more sturdy, making them more reliable than a Video Wall. They will withstand a range of temperatures and will last a lot longer for your event, without compromising on quality of image.

Another factor to take into consideration is that, the tiles have no bezel (unlike a Video Wall screen) so they really do appear seamless, producing an effect which will leave your audience visually astonished. This tile feature also allows for the framework to be mounted in a number of ways. Giving you more freedom to arrange your LED content to suit your event type, whether it be a simplistic straight wall display, curved, 3D effect, the options are endless really!
